bruh lol..im so pissed they didn't show the swimming scene and cut straight to the iconic slap print on the guys faces/.x like i get it okay lol it was bound to lead to that moment but they just skipped over all the cultured content ;[

edit: my baad i guess they saved the best for last lol i guess we don't need to know what nonsense they talked about while swimming

why the f did the guys get slapped if it was a prank by that porn star carol?dont get it dont male viewers feel insulted their gender gets blamed for transgressions even when its the opposite gender's fault?
sigh, there was too much of the girls in swimwear but too little of those 2 boys in hot trunks.

They looked

Albedio • 9 months ago

so what?as if the girls didnt look?so now everything boys do is a sin?wonder what toxin feminism has spread into the minds of people around the world.

One problem with your theory: Feminism (especially the toxic variety) is a Western concept, while Japan is an Eastern philosophy country. So that can't be the case. In fact, Japan is a very traditional country where the duties of marriage and child rearing are actually seen as a cultural duty more than the concept of an expression of love (actually an interesting topic when applied to things like homosexuality, but that's besides the point).

So the slap was less about who is at fault and more about the old belief that one's chastity must be preserved by not allowing a man to see you naked. A slap is simply an effective way to make a man close their eyes and look away before they get a good glimpse, especially when virgin men tend to become deer in headlights in such a shocking situation. The alternative being that if the boys see them, they must restore the woman's honour by marrying them (and Japan believes in monogamy, so at least one becomes degraded to a slut).
Not to mention the whole social stigma issue... NEET is a powerful term there as Japan believes in conformity over individuality. So even if the men marry two of the women, the fact they saw the third and didn't step up would start to ostracize both the men and women of the groups as degenerates (and given that quite a few of them are nobles, this would also put their house nobility at risk as well).

Again, it is founded in archaic traditionalism and not modern feminism.

well they seem pretty similar in how they make all faults are on the men while the women are faultless, even when they arent.such a slap if normalised will become the pathway of accepting female violence on men,n men always having to suffer in silence,or worse still develop some kind of complex that makes them feel obliged to being assaulted by a female.Just look at saito in familiar of zero.

Saito is another bag of abuse all together. In Japan, especially with the NEET situation I mentioned, there is a very abusive workplace scenario, where your merit is in how many hours you work rather than what you accomplish. As such, taking a 4 hr rest at work and not going home for 3 weeks is a common occurrence, and so is bosses getting away with being abusive to their underlings as it is very hard to get another job, especially with an irritated boss poisoning your chances. Because of this, Japan suffers from an extremely high workplace mortality rate, including suicide forest, where people seek a release. That obligation if being assaulted is because of hierarchy and not gender.

Saito is meant to represent that as a means to be relatable for a bit of escapism (to prevent suicides) and show how things can improve and the reader matters. The fact that Zero is a girl is simply for the romantic element, given that homosexuality is not as explored in Japan, so much as seen as a kink, and her being a tsundere is actually a trope developed by people who think that no means "deep down, she might like me." That said, reverse harems can show the same dynamic but reversed as well.

The main point I am pushing is that Japan is a place that outright fights feminism because it doesn't align with their traditional values. This doesn't make them perfect by a longshot, as they have their own struggles to tend to, but it is actually a feminist talking point to claim relatability because of surface correlations. Yes, female violence is not seen as offensive as men, but that is because Japan recognizes that men are the stronger gender and a woman's slap might not do more than sting. However, the depiction of it in anime is often rooted in a form of escapism, in a means to explore what they can't do otherwise... Remember what I said about abusive bosses? That does apply with sexual abuse towards woman who feel powerless, as they fear losing their jobs and becoming social pariahs for not putting out... So a media that allows them to vicariously fight back can also be a form of escapism for them too.

Now that's a character development, from being a over prideful person to a good person with actual skills 🔥

And to be fair his match up was totally unfair , otherwise he could've won the match 👍🏻

Albedio • 10 months ago

some matches end when one side gets disarmed.if it were those rules he wouldve won.too bad this case the opponent can use magic to parry n throw him out the stadium.
